Tips for using e-TASC
Do:
- note down ideas and questions when they occur to you (see Uploading questions or text)
- work out which ideas and questions are related and make links between them using the linking tool (see Making links)
- decide which ideas are the most important using the rating tool.
- copy information from one part of e-TASC to another (see Moving or copying an item)
- take time to reflect on your progress after each step – is there anything you could do to improve the way you did things?
- make notes in the evaluation section of e-TASC after you have completed each step
- collaborate with others and make helpful comments or suggestions to other learners
- use the Assessing a TASC lesson criteria to help you evaluate your work.
Don't:
- spend too much time on something. If you are stuck move on to the next section
- try to complete each section before moving on to the next, move back and forth between the different sections of e-TASC as much as you want to
- be afraid to take a risk and try out new ways of solving a problem - be creative!
